SAFEKEY & TEEN
Safekey and Teen Scene follow the CCSD calendar.
Daily registration is available online and at all of our
recreation centers but is not available at program
sites. Families are eligible for sibling discounts, and
financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
Initial registration paperwork must be completed prior
Payments can be made online until 11:59 p.m. or at any
recreation center/indoor pool during regular business
Verify days registered, as days selected are locked in
and cannot be credited or moved. Once payment has
been received, credits and refunds are not issued for
days your child is unable to attend.

Children must be from the same immediate family to
receive the sibling discount. We reserve the right to

The City of Henderson offers Safekey, a before-
and after-school recreational enrichment program
for children in grades K-5, at all Henderson Clark
County School District (CCSD) elementary schools.
Participants must be at least 5 years old and attending
kindergarten/elementary school to take part. The
program provides crafts, games, special activities,
a snack, and homework time for children while their

Galloway, Gibson, Hinman, Kesterson, Lamping,
Mack, McCaw, McDoniel, Morrow, Newton, Roberts,
Sewell, Smalley, Stevens, Taylor (Glen), Taylor (Robert),
Thorpe, Treem, Twitchell, Vanderburg, Walker, Wallin,
Safekey Half Days
Select elementary schools have elected to incorporate
early release days throughout the school year. During
these designated days, the Safekey program coincides
with the early dismissal times and is available for $18
per day. Additional programming is included on these
Sixth through eighth graders enjoy this enriching afterschool
program (a before-school program is offered
only at select sites) with their peers. Provided for
working parents to ensure preteens’ and teens’ safety,
the program features arts and crafts, sports, field trips,
special events, homework time, and a snack.
Junior high/middle before-school sites: Del Webb
Junior high/middle after-school sites: Brown,
Burkholder, Del Webb, Greenspun, Mannion, Miller,
Teen Scene Half Days
CCSD conducts semiannual testing of all middle school
and junior high students. During these designated
testing days, the Teen Scene program coincides with
the early dismissal times and is available for $18 per
day. Additional programming and excursions are
included on these days.
Milk is provided by the USDA Special Milk Program
through a grant from the Nevada Department of
Education. In accordance with federal law and U.S.
Department of Agriculture policy, these programs are
prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race,
color, natural origin, sex, age, or disability.
BATTLE BORN KIDS
Battle Born Kids and Teens are recreation programs
that support distance learning. Participants are
assigned to groups that will ensure social distancing is
maintained throughout the activities.
$20 per child, per day. All registration is subject to
space availability. Visit cityofhenderson.com/battleborn
for more information. Activities may include games,
crafts, physical fitness, music, virtual field trips, movies
and sports. Water-related activities may take place
outside. Swimming pools may be used. All activities
will follow social distancing guidelines.
Lunch and a snack will be provided. Please provide a
healthy lunch, snack and water bottle for your child
every day if they decide not to eat what is provided.

Early Arrival & Extended Stay
Black Mountain Recreation Center and Henderson
Multigenerational Center offer an early-start and late
pick-up option. Early arrival is $10 per child per week.
Extended stay is $10 per child per week. Participants
must be registered on or by the Wednesday prior to
the week their child will be attending.
Early arrival: 6:30-7:00 a.m.
Extended stay: 6:00-6:30 p.m.
